Guidelines for Surveys/Polls/Quizzes:
1. Should have varying results for each taker
2. More of a personalized experience when it comes to surveys
3. Description of results. Not just the result or percentage related to the survey.
4. Should be engaging and relevant.
5. Hide potential sponsors and advertisements to show more authenticity.

In my recent exploration of online quizzes, I stumbled upon three engaging surveys that promised personalized revelations. The first quiz, "Go Out To Dinner On Valentine's Day And We'll Reveal Your Romantic Type," gave me the result of "Always Down for an Adventure." I scrolled through social media pages to see others' results. Many range from "Hopeless Romantic" to "Spontaneous Explorer." This discovery provided me with the data I sought: a personalized quiz with multiple outcomes based on users' choices.

The following quiz, "I've Rounded Up 20 Of My Favorite Shows," reported that I have watched 55% more than the thousands of quiztakers. While I still have many shows to watch, even if some are not on the list, I am content with my 2023 watchlist and continue to grow it in 2024. I often put off streaming new shows because it distracts me from schoolwork.

"Eat Nothin' But Cake And We'll Tell You When You'll Get Married," predicted my wedding in two years, which we all know will not happen. I shared it with friends and received a spectrum of marriage timelines, ranging from immediate plans, like tomorrow, to very far in the future. These quizzes are all created for light-hearted fun with friends and shouldn't be overanalyzed. They thrive on the latest pop culture trends and do not capture the depth of a person. With many of these quizzes having only a handful of outcomes, it is essential to approach each quiz with humor rather than taking results personally.

Comments

  1. I liked the fact that you did three separate quizzes, I think that's unique and also helpful to see how your results compared to others regarding these topics. I also like how you clarified that these quizzes were all for fun and the results should not be overanalyzed
